Repose is designed so that core prayer use is primarily local to your device. Most prayer content, notes, boards, and settings are stored on your device unless you choose a feature that uses cloud services.
What Stays on Your Device
Your saved prayers, prayer boards, confession notes, alarms, app settings, and similar personal content are primarily stored locally on your device.
Repose stores local preferences such as app settings, selected icons, widget selections, and similar choices needed for the app to function on your device.
Information Used Only for Optional Features
If you choose to sign in, Repose may receive information from the sign-in provider, such as your account identifier, email address, or display details, through services like Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, and Firebase Authentication.
If you purchase a subscription, purchase status and entitlement information may be processed through Apple, Google, and RevenueCat so Repose can unlock paid features.
If you use location-based features such as nearby parish or monastery search, Repose may access your approximate or precise location only when you grant permission.
If you choose images from your photo library or files, Repose accesses only the items you select for features like prayer images or quote-share cards.
If you enable notifications or alarms, Repose uses notification permissions and locally scheduled alarm information so it can alert you when you ask it to.
If you use sharing features that create links or cloud-hosted shared items, the specific content you choose to share may be processed through Firebase services so that shared links or shared files can work.
How We Use Information
- To provide the prayer, reading, board, widget, and sharing features you use.
- To authenticate you if you choose to sign in.
- To process subscriptions and determine access to premium features.
- To deliver notifications and alarms when you enable them.
- To support parish, monastery, and map features when you grant location access.
- To keep the app functioning securely and reliably.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only as needed to operate optional services you use, such as:
- Firebase services for optional authentication, storage, database, and cloud-backed sharing features.
- RevenueCat and the relevant app store platform for subscription management.
- Platform services such as Apple or Google when you use sign-in, purchases, notifications, or sharing features.
We may also disclose information if required by law or if needed to protect the rights, safety, and security of Repose or its users.
Data Retention
Most user-created prayer content is kept on your device. If you use an optional cloud-backed feature, the related information may be kept for as long as reasonably needed to provide that feature, comply with legal obligations, or protect the service.
Your Choices
- You can choose whether to sign in.
- You can deny or revoke permissions such as photos, notifications, and location in your device settings.
- You can remove content you created inside the app, subject to technical backup or retention limits.
- You can manage subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Children’s Privacy
Repose is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.
Advertising ID
Repose does not use advertising ID for advertising purposes.
